Chinese New Year Celebration

It is the Year of the Dragon and the UMass Boston community is in for a rare treat. Just in time to celebrate Chinese New Year, the Zhejiang University Wenqin Arts Troupe will perform at UMass Boston on Wednesday afternoon, February 1 at 5 pm.
The performance is free thanks to the Confucius Institute on campus. The full Arts Troupe has 300 members with six talented teams, including a symphony orchestra, a vocal team, a dance team, a drama team, a Chinese traditional music team and a keyboard orchestra. We'll see a live performance by 24 of the most talented members of the troupe.
The performers will only visit two other universities in New England during this tour of the United States. It is a great opportunity to experience Chinese culture and enjoy a snack.
