Office of Communications
Beginning Monday, January 23, the former Bayside Exposition site on Mt. Vernon Street will be open for parking on weekdays beginning at 6:30 a.m. A dedicated, free shuttle, the Route 3 bus, will operate between Bayside and the Campus Center starting at 10 a.m. each day and continuing until the last car leaves the Bayside lot or until all shuttle services stop at 10:30 p.m.
Early morning Bayside parkers can walk to the JFK MBTA station to board a UMass Boston shuttle there, or walk directly to the campus. The early morning opening of the Bayside lot is intended primarily to accommodate construction workers, who are not permitted to park in the campus parking lots.
All who park at the Bayside will be charged a $6 fee or may use their UMass Boston parking pass upon entering the lot.
